How to Reach Manali

Manali is a picturesque hill station surrounded with snow-laden mountains and forest of pine trees. Dotted with numerous tourist attractions and tranquil atmosphere, Manali is a pristine destination for honeymooners and tourists to spend some intimate time with friends and their dear ones. Getting to Manali is enjoyable and pleasing experience. It is connected with well maintained roads that will take you to its realm quite comfortably and safely.

Nearest Airport:

Kullu Manali Airport at a distance of 49.6 km is the nearest airport to Manali. The airport has connectivity with almost all the cities in India. From the airport you have to follow NH21 that will take you to your destination in around 1 hour 31 minute.

Nearest Railway Station:

Joginder Nagar Railway Station is the nearest railway head to Manali at a distance of 143 km. The railway station is well connected with outside railway station and frequent train services are available from cities of the country. You can conveniently get to Manali via v NH20, Mandi-Bajaura Rd and NH21 roughly in 4 hours 12 minutes.

From Dalhousie:

Located at a distance of 327 km, the journey from Dalhousie to Manali takes 8 hours 2 minutes almost an entire day, but the scenic beauty on the either side will hardly make you bother about the time. At the onset of journey you have to follow SH33, SH28, SH43, which merge into NH20 in Hatli. Continue driving on to NH 20 for 125 km and thereafter take left to NH21 in Bajaura. Keep driving on NH 21 and en route to IOC Filling Staion, you will reach your Destination.

From Shimla:

The distance between Shimla and Manali is 252 km and an enthralling journey of 6 hours 3 minutes will take you to Manali. First you need to head towards east to Rivoli and take Circular Road and Dhalli Bypass that connects with NH22 in Dhalli. Continue driving onto NH22 and after driving for 5.7 km turn left onto Shimla-Tatapani-mandi Rd. Keep driving on Shimla-Tatapani-mandi Rd and after driving for 4.5 take CarigNeno Rd at HP Govt Electricity Unit. Drive through CarigNeno Rd to Chaba and then take MDR22 and again drive up the hills straight to NH305 in Luhri. Now follow the NH 305 to NH 21 and en route Behna, Nagan, Haripur, you will finally get to Manali.

From Dharamsala:

To get to Manali from Dharamsala you will have to cover a total distance of 215 km which approximately takes 6 hours 19 minutes to get to your destination. Starting from the Dharamsala, you have to head south and follow Khanyara Rd. Thereafter, turn left onto Dharamsala Rd/Palampur-Dharamshala Rd and en route Palampur turn left onto NH20. Continue driving NH 20, which merges with NH 21 in Bajaura. Follow NH21 and drive straight towards the north to reach Manali.

From Chamba:

Located at a distance of 333 km from Chamba, you can reach Manali roughly in 8 hours 53 minutes. First drive in the north-west direction towards Pink Palace Lane and turn left at Chamba-Pathankot Rd to get to Shahpur-Chowari Rd. Sloped down through Shahpur-Chowari Rd and follow NH 20 in Maseran. Drive ahead for 125 km and take Mandi-Bajaura Rd to NH21 in Bajaura. Finally, follow NH20 to get to Manali.

From Bilaspur:

The distance between Manali and Bilaspur is 173 km that can be covered approximately in 4 hours 32 minutes. At the onset of the journey, you have to move towards north on NH21. Keep on driving onto NH21 and en route Barmana, Mandi, Jagatsukh you will easily get to Manali.
